Location

Saint-Malo is located on the north coast of Brittany, western part of France. Its outstanding landscapes and rich historical heritage make Saint Malo a unique destination. With its 52,000 inhabitants, this city offers a varied and healthy economic activity. Its international trade port, travelers port, fishing port and sailing port add up to an economic activity definitely open to the world.

Venue

ISCA 2010 will take place at the congress center Palais du Grand Large, in Saint-Malo, France. It is located in the heart of the city, facing the sea.
It welcomes about 150 meetings a year and provides meeting organisers and participants with all modern congress facilities and services.

  • By train: The TGV is the high speed train. Train tickets can be bought online from SNCF or Raileurope.
    • From Paris-Charles-De-Gaulle (Paris-CDG) airport:
      There are direct TGVs to Rennes where you easily get connecting trains or shuttles to Saint-Malo (maximum waiting time 0:30).

      If this does not fit with your own flight schedule, you may consider taking a TGV at Paris-Montparnasse railway station. See below.

      Within Paris-CDG airport, you find:
      • the TGV station;

      • Air France bus shuttles to reach Paris-Montparnasse railway station.
    • From Paris-Orly airport:

    • From Paris-Montparnasse railway station:
      There are direct TGVs to Saint-Malo in 2:56.

      Depending upon your travel schedule, you may prefer using a direct TGV to Rennes where you easily get connecting trains or shuttles to Saint-Malo (maximum waiting time 0:30).
    • There are direct TGVs from Lille, Lyon, Marseille, and Strasbourg to Rennes where you easily get connecting trains or shuttles to Saint-Malo (maximum waiting time 0:30).
    • From London to Paris, you may wish to use the Eurostar to Paris, and then one of the solutions above.
  • By car: From Paris: 370 km (3:30) by motorways A11/A13 (through Rennes) or A13/A84 (through Caen).
  • By plane:
    • Rennes-St-Jacques Airport (70km from Saint-Malo): Direct, daily routes from major French and European cities, including 5 daily round-trip flights from Paris. Low-cost flights from the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Spain. Note that we have arranged bus transportation to Palais du Grand Large on Friday 18 afternoon, Saturday 19 afternoon, Sunday 20 afternoon and back to the airport on Thursday 24 morning (see registration form).
